Practice Areas
Pierre Auger is a senior marketing, digital, and business strategy executive with
more than two decades of international experience operating at the intersection of
FMCG discipline, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and content-driven industries.
His career uniquely combines the operational rigor of global leading consumer goods
companies, the creativity and scale of the entertainment industry, and the agility
of startup and digital ecosystems.
Pierre began his career at Gillette (Procter & Gamble), where he built a strong foundation
in brand management, trade marketing, category management, and go-to-market execution
across Southern Europe. He led major product launches, redefined merchandising and
point-of-sale strategies, optimized multimillion-euro marketing budgets, and drove
significant market share gains across highly competitive FMCG categories. This experience
instilled a data-driven, consumer-centric, and performance-oriented mindset that continues
to shape his strategic approach.
Building on this FMCG backbone, Pierre transitioned into the global entertainment
industry, holding senior executive roles at Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Animation,
Universal Pictures, AMC Networks, and Technicolor. While his responsibilities spanned
theatrical, home entertainment, and television, his distinctive value lay in applying
FMCG-style brand, portfolio, and lifecycle management to content businesses. As General
Manager and Vice President for Iberia, he managed a €60M P&L and led Spain to top-three
global performance across multiple releases. He also combined distribution leadership
with local production sensibility, co-producing Spanish films and contributing to
box-office successes such as Celda 211, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of how global content strategies must adapt
to local cultural dynamics.
As the industry digitized, Pierre progressively moved toward digital transformation
and platform-based business models. He led the transition from physical rental to
digital-first B2C models in home entertainment, drove omnichannel and branded-content
strategies at AMC Networks, and, as Country Manager of Voddler, steered a European
streaming startup through a strategic pivot to SVOD, doubling revenues and initiating
pioneering distribution pilots with Telefónica.
Parallel to his corporate career, Pierre has been deeply involved in entrepreneurship
and startup ecosystems, co-founding and advising several digital ventures including
Buuksia, Urate, Yoofill, Carga Tu Coche, and YouFounders. His entrepreneurial work
focuses on digital business models, monetization, platforms, and growth strategies,
often bridging corporate assets with startup execution logic. He brings to founders
a rare combination of corporate-scale thinking and startup pragmatism, grounded in
real P&L accountability.
